My new favourite vest helped me run super fast today! Though decided 11am was possibly a little too early to drink the gin after running the miles 😁 . 1 mile easy to warm up, 3 hard tempo miles, 1 mile easy to cool down. I may have finished with marathon training but I’d like to try & hang onto some of the pace I worked so hard to get so speed sessions will be continuing 💪🏻💪🏻 . Such a joy to be back on the Croydon trails this morning ❤️ . My feet at home on the familiar paths, wind in my hair, the warmth of the sun on my back. A run simply for enjoyment. No goal, no agenda, just for me. . A few trail miles simply being does wonders for mind, body & soul. It was fun to challenge myself on the road these past few months but this is where I belong. . Lovely to see @niamhmathews & @milly_smythe out on the trails. An all too brief ‘socially-distancing’ chat & catch-up may have been the highlight of the run! That & the bluebells are just beginning to appear in Littleheath. Bluebell season is my favourite 😍 . #run #runner #running #trailrunning #croydontrails
Turned the living room into a fitness studio for my first ever online strength training class with @londonsportstherapy this morning 💪🏻💪🏻 . I usually avoid classes preferring to work out alone but have been struggling to motivate myself to do anything other than running during this lockdown. This was the perfect solution 👌🏻 . Got a bit of a sweat going, reminded me how important a bit of strength training is & I actually quite enjoyed it #result . Tomorrow the living room is masquerading as a yoga studio for another online class!🧘🏼‍♀️ . Good to mix things up a little! . #runnerdoingotherthings
